What's Included

Underfloor Heating, done right

01

Design & Heat Loss

Proper heat-loss calculations and loop layouts done up front so the system is sized right for the room and actually heats it, not an afterthought stapled to the floor.

02

New Builds & Extensions

UFH laid into screed or over joists in extensions, kitchens and whole new builds, set out and clipped tidy before the floor goes down.

03

Manifolds & Zoning

Manifolds plumbed and labelled, actuators and thermostats wired so each room is its own zone with independent control.

04

Commissioning

The system pressure-tested, filled, balanced and brought up to temperature slowly so the screed cures right and every loop pulls its weight.

Frequently Asked

Common questions

Is underfloor heating worth it?

For the right job, definitely. It gives even, comfortable heat, frees up wall space and runs at a lower flow temperature, which suits modern boilers and heat pumps. It is one of our specialist trades, so we will give you a straight answer on whether it fits your project.

Can you fit underfloor heating in an existing house?

Often yes. In a renovation or extension we can lay it in new screed, and there are low-profile systems for retrofitting over existing floors. We will look at floor heights and build-up and tell you what is realistic.

Can I have underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs?

Yes, that is a very common setup. UFH downstairs where you want the even warmth and underfoot comfort, radiators upstairs, all run off the one boiler or heat pump and zoned separately.

Does underfloor heating work with a heat pump?

It works brilliantly with one. UFH runs at a low flow temperature, which is exactly what an air source heat pump wants, so the two together are about as efficient as heating gets. We fit both.

How long does an underfloor heating install take?

A single room or extension is usually a couple of days for the pipework, plus screed drying time. A whole house is longer. We will give you a clear timescale with the quote and work in around the other trades.
